This mountain veils, wedding inspiration by Tara Whittaker Photography is simply dreamy. Romantic and soft, rugged and hard. The juxtaposition of the bride’s soft makeup and her ethereal, vintage veils set against the rugged beauty of Banff National Park is so enthralling. It’s no wonder, that the Calgary Bridal Association named this photo one of the best wedding photographs of 2014. But don’t stop at this photograph, there’s plenty more gorgeous shots right here!
The starting point for this shoot was the collection of beautiful vintage veils at A Vintage Affair. Bridal veils really do transcend time and fashion trends. I love to photograph a bride, enveloped in tulle with the sun streaming through.
To keep the focus on the veils, our model Anastassiya wore pretty slips and lounge wear, rather than a traditional wedding gown. Heirloom lockets were layered with modern jewelry from Adorn Boutique.
The Canadian Rocky Mountains around Banff, Alberta were the perfect backdrop. I love the contrast between our beautiful bride, sensual in her veils, set against rugged peaks and cold mountain lakes.
Into the forest…
Thanks so much to Tara for sharing these stunning photos with us. Thanks also to the talented team that made this shoot so spectacular!
