A winter wonderland, a rustic mountain lodge, and couple with great style; this wedding has the makings of the most perfect of winter weddings! I truly believe we Canadians do winter weddings right! To borrow a common phrase Canadians used at the last winter Olympics, “We are Winter”. If they gave out gold medals for winter weddings we’d win hands down! Susan and Matt’s elegant winter wedding is a perfect example of a winter wedding done right!
This winter wedding at Emerald Lake Lodge was beautifully captured by the very talented husband and wife duo, Trish and Matt of f8 Photography Inc. Naturally Chic was fortunate to plan and design the wedding with Susan and Matt! Their wedding had just the right blend of modern elegance and rustic charm. Complete with mittens, Sorels and faux fur, these outdoor enthusiasts fully embraced the season!
The ‘girls’ wore matching wool coats, faux fur collars and mittens.
To keep warm, the couple gifted their wedding party with Sorel boots.
And they were thrilled…
And ready to have some fun…
Susan and Matt asked us to make a sign post with signs from where their guests were from and we really enjoyed hand-painting these! At the end of the evening, guests were welcome to take the signs home.
For their dance at Cilantro, we hung strands of twinkle lights and glass globes that made a perfect backdrop for their awesome band, Mocking Shadows!
