This snowy Emerald Lake wedding is the eptiome of winter weddings, complete with a s’mores and hot chocolate welcoming, party and snowman making kits for the kids. Sarah and Jason had their winter wedding at one of their favorite places, Emerald Lake Lodge, in Canada’s Yoho National Park. Emerald Lake was a place the couple visited often, and it held special memories for them. Sarah and her family even once visited there in her youth. It was an easy choice as a wedding location and the decision was well supported by family and friends!
Sarah and Jason’s love story was beautifully photographed by husband and wife team, Abby and Dave from Abby + Dave Photography. Naturally Chic had the pleasure of helping them plan and design their special day.
Emerald Lake Lodge, a beautiful mountain resort, is a virtual winter wonderland. Mountain peaks and trees are almost always heavily snow laden in winter making it the perfect location for dreamy, winter weddings.
I love that their “First Look” reveal resulted in a romantic, spontaneous, snowy dance.
The wintery bouquets were designed by Sarah Mayerson Design.
The couple’s beautiful dog Ruby was included in the festivities.
The couple welcomed their guests with a welcome bag full of necessities for their s’mores, welcoming bonfire, including a custom mug. Naturally Chic created the custom, engraved welcome bag tags and itinerary.
The couple opted for a classic navy, green and white color palette with a bit of a “preppy “feel, by incorporating wood and touches of tartan (a nod to the bride’s celtic heritage).
The floral centerpieces consisted of various blooms, seasonal greenery, pinecones, silver brunia and thistles.
Naturally Chic created the wooden details including walnut wood table numbers and wood veneer, engraved menus.
